FINAL TOUCHPOINT: ROUND TABLE EVENT

The final touch point event took place as a “round table event.” This involved being put in groups of 6/7 people with students from jewellery and textiles as well. We all sat round a table and took turns to pitch our ideas and give/receive feedback.
The format is similar to that which takes place with representatives from industry in 4th year – so good practice!
It was really interesting to see where everyone else was at with their projects and the different ways of approaching them throughout each discipline. Talking through your idea in this way with people who it is brand new to is a really helpful way of discouraging where there is room for improvement and ensuring the concept is communicated clearly.
This afternoon has set me in good stead for the final few weeks of the project.
