DEVELOPING THE DESIGN
I started developing the structure of my design by playing around with the shapes from the old photos of the houses at Lendalfoot I had been inspired by before.
Looking back on Geller’s rationale, “Attacking the traditional pitched roof,” I came up with a series of geometric designs.
All through the sketch process I had in my head that a combination of glass and wood would be the ideal materials - of course making the most of the views.
I liked the idea of framing the view in some way, which helped me come up with the linear structure creating a series of interesting triangular windows.
