SITE ANALYSIS

Sunlight was the first area I began to research in depth as light levels are a main factor to levels of S.A.D. and therapy.

As Lendalfoot is protected by Carleton Hill at one side the sun doesn’t get high enough in winter months to shine over some areas of the village.

Seeming as we are in Scotland (especially the west coast!) rainfall levels were the next most obvious factor to study.

I began to look at this data and think about how users can connect to the environment and make the most of their surroundings.
