CREATIVE CONDITIONS: FURTHER RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATION

Once I decided I wanted to focus my project on the effect of depression on creativity I began thinking about how my space was going to exist. Focussing on mobile architecture I came across "The Bike Sauna" by H3T architects. This is cylindrical translucent pod is pulled along by a tandem bicycle inspired me to look at the possibility for creating something to be towed in this way. I also looked at examples of glass & mirrored glass architecture such as "Mirror House" by Ekkehard Altenburger and "Snow House" by Cario Santambrogio. Another interesting piece of design I came across was an electric camper made out of fiberglass and bicycle parts by the San Francisco designer Jay Nelson. This research allowed me to start to imagine how my design could take form.
